Free The Cynics
'Electrifying rock n’ roll...a magnificent and diverse mix of blues, rock, indie rock and alternative rock...walloping and wailing groove brilliance.'
'Free the Cynics defy the tired hat of rock ‘n’ roll and deliver something new and refreshing.' - Beatroute
“Powered by the classic elements of rock n’ roll, combining them with heavy, melodic beats, and dark, brooding vocals; the bluesy backbone throughout their music keeps Crooked Spies’ sound complimentary regardless of the eclectic twists their style takes.” - Beatroute
From an outsider looking in, this concisely paints a picture of Crooked Spies. It is not an unfamiliar site to witness cascading riff driven guitars played from the flat of their backs and soaring vocal harmonies, echoed through the room, compliments of the band's frontmen and brothers Dylan & Steven Evanik.
Good Nature is an indie rock band from Edmonton, Alberta. Their music encompasses a wide variety of musical genres- it is the perfect blend of pop, rock and funk. Their songs are full of hooks and grooves that make their music an absolute delight to listen to.
*This event takes place on the territory of the Blackfoot and the people of Treaty 7 Region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuu T'ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations. Calgary is also home to the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
