Wrapped in eruptious dream-pop harmonies and grounded within post-punk, Heavydive is a musical project that captures the thick reverberation of British shoegaze while focusing on emotional storytelling.
Calgary via San Francisco’s Tiny Shrine is a flickering candle amid a great storm. No matter how strong the winds and the rain, their fire burns on. The band’s steady-building, full-bodied shoegaze takes the listener on far-out sonic voyages. - www.sledisland.com
The Sylvia Platters
The Sylvia Platters are a four-piece power pop and shoegaze band, putting their own spin on sounds borrowed from ‘90s bands in love with the ‘60s. Since forming in 2014, the band has released a well-received 14-song LP, a 5-song EP, and played over 50 shows across BC, honing their live set into something Glenn Ess of The Cascade calls, "vibrant and endlessly entertaining."
Passionate, freewheeling garage rock, with echos of carefree shoegaze reflective of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
