BeatRoute Issue Release #19
Thursday, June 7 at The Palomino, 9pm
DRI HIEV, Reflex Action, Calisthenics
Join us, Big Rock Brewery and The Palomino Smokehouse and Social Club for another wild night of tunes.
This month we're previewing some local artists tapped to play Sled Island* later in the month. DRI HIEV are serving up industrial punk (and debuting their new four-piece lineup), Reflex Action are bringing improvisational techno and Calisthenics are showing off their oddball post-punk chops.
Admission is free but we rely on your donations to offer a fair rate to to compensate the bands for their hard work and time. Another way you can support the show is to indulge in some $6 Big Rock, on special all night just for us.
The Palomino is not a venue that tolerates harassment in any form. You name it, it's off the table. Don't be shitty to other people and you'll do just fine.
And don't forget that this event takes place on the territory of the Blackfoot and the people of Treaty 7 Region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuu T'ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations. Calgary is also home to the Metis Nation of Alberta, Region III.
*Reflex Action are not playing Sled Island, but Mary is playing solo as Trigger Warming at the fest.
