Over the past 19 years, relentless experimentation and collaboration have made The Body one of the most intriguing metal acts around. Their notoriously abrasive live shows blend noise music with sludge, harsh techno and more melody than other experimental noise acts would dare.
Lingua Ignota boils down elements of opera, industrial, metal and other forms of extreme music to summon the wrath and transcendence of surviving trauma. Fluctuating between classically trained wails and visceral screams atop walls of noise and distorted beats, Ignota brings a Medusa-like presence to the stage that will stop you in your tracks.
Scattered Clouds manages to walk the razor-thin line between cacophony and delight. The fog and lo-fi static of their sound makes for a mood that is mysterious and entrancing, like driving down an unlit back road at night. This band is a must-see for fans of noise, neon lights and awesome, spooky grooves.
Darkwave act Wire Spine use analogue means to make you dance to the sounds of battery acid synth and cruelly sardonic vocals. Their cheeky sense of danger only heightens the adrenaline once you’ve hit the floor.
