Crack The Lens
Come on out and get loud with Crack the Lens as they play a ton of tunes from their new album The Armoury, as well as a bunch of Celine Dion covers!
This third album by Crack the Lens represents the band's musical evolution and drive to produce a more powerful sound. What began as a shy guy, an acoustic guitar and some simple songs played for friends has grown into a 4 piece dedicated volume, grit and rhythm - lead by a voice that floats at the surface of your favourite whiskey.
This album is broadly influenced. There are songs about lives wasted and well-lived, songs about northern lore, songs about dark bars and great comrades and songs about war and tragically repeated history.
If driving guitars and drums that have been beaten senseless are your thing, join us in The Armoury.
Formerly known as “Sealegs”, The Frontiers is a project lead by Drew Jones since 2012. We value gigging above all else, and we’ve successfully hit the stage hundreds of times. We never fail to please the crowd and promoters.
The band is entirely independent, and our journey is a long and filled with twists and turns. Since the release of our freshman album, we’ve established ourselves as a staple in the Alberta scene.
Dane the duo comprises a couple of young humble musicians, with Dane's bassist and lead vocalist being energetic and entertaining with the ability to bring new innovation to the strings, Dane's drummer is electric in his energy and deliveries a heart pounding performance, together they create a full and vibrant psychedelic, rock and roll sound.
Dane started their genesis in the land of allure “Nelson, BC”, debuting on Kootenay Coop Radio. The Duo made their way back to Calgary starting fresh as a youthful band playing many local shows: The Palomino, The Gateway, Broken City, Ironwood Stage and Grill, just to name a few. Each and every step they take brings them and many others closer to experiencing the fruits of their labour of love and passion for music.
