Tranzmitors
Vancouver’s Powerpop titans for nearly 20 years! Inarguably, Canada’s best Power Pop band have polished up the shoes and hit the stage again with songs both new and old. I caught them just recently in Vancouver and as usual was blown away by the sheer infectiousness of the songs and the fact they’re one of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. Don’t know em? Has Burger Records poisoned the term Power Pop for you? Do you need re-education? Stick around and dance. If you think it’s somehow out of place to see a Powerpop band playing the meat to some killer Hardcore bands….well, place your bets – you’ll be eaten first.

Low Blow
Calgary’s newest Hardcore Punk band are young enough to still be feeling radiation sickness from experimental acne medication. They’ve recently recorded their debut 7” and it’s absolutely perfect juvenile Hardcore Punk played by barely-juvenile kids. Actual punks playing punk and not adults playacting. Vital shit in this city!
