Temps
Indie rock outfit Temps was formed in the midst of the pandemic by David Lavoie and Aidan O’Reilly. Borrowing sonic influences from jangly post-punk gems and mellow, modal jazz stylings, Temps crafts songs for the pensive intellectual via a cruising rhythm section, clean guitar arpeggios and delicate, crooned vocals. – https://www.sledisland.com/2023/temps

Parisian Orgy
Originally the solo project of Gwen Morgan (Uncanny Valley), Parisian Orgy has blossomed into a four-piece, outré synth-pop/punk band. Regular live performers in Calgary, the group’s buzzing synths and snarling surrealism must be seen to be believed. – https://www.sledisland.com/2022/parisian-orgy

Dial up
Dial up is an art-punk-ish project started in pre-pandemic Montreal and re-assembled in Calgary over the last year. It takes some cues from Melt Banana, Death Grips, DEVO, and the B52s, bringing a sound that is fast, funky, and dance-driven layered with unexpected rhythms and dissonant jams.

Blue Odeur
Once an art-rock band and now an electronic solo project, Blue Odeur is a blend of beats, vocals and digital detritus with the raggedy swagger of a warehouse rave. Latest EP, Inspector Knife, pays homage to The Knife and Todd Terje in both title and propulsion. – https://www.sledisland.com/2022/blue-odeur
